Concepts:
- Know the phases of the cell cycle and know the events that occur during each phase.
- Know the phases of mitosis (prophase, prometaphase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase) and what happens during each phase.
- Know what happens to the ploidy of a cell during the cell cycle in general and the cell cycle in particular with respect to DNA quantity and chromosome number. Remember how a chromosome is defined.
- Know when cytokinesis occurs in the cell cycle and mitosis and know its function.
- Know the differences between cytokinesis in animals and plants.
