PERSONAL INTERESTS
Believe it or not, I do have some interests besides chemistry. Here are pictures from a few of them:WATERSPORTS
Waterskiing and Wakeboarding - updated 2/17/05
Our entire family has enjoyed these forms of "hydrotherapy" for many years. Our sons and daughters-in-law are better aquatic technicians, but the old folks have lots of fun, too.
SCUBA DIVING
Scuba Diving - updated 5/5/04
Another family tradition...Jeff and Staci, Brian and Roxanne, Bill and Darleen... all certified divers. We often dive with our friend and neighbor, Art Goulard.
MOUNTAIN TREK
Climbing the Monte Rosa - updated 5/5/04
In July 2002, I was invited by my friend, Armin Fisher (an Italian mountain guide) to climb the Monte Rosa, second highest mountain in Europe. We were accompanied by two guys from Tuscany, Maurizio and Roberto. We left Alagra Valsesia, Italy, on a Wednesday morning, stayed overnight in a "refugio," and Thursday morning using crampons and ropes reached the summit and the Refugio Margherita (14,072 ft). It was a challenging and spectacular climb, with fantastic views of the Alps along the way.
FAMILY
My family - updated 4/29/04
Darleen and I have two great sons, Jeff and Brian, who are married to terrific ladies, Staci and Roxanne. Jeff and Staci have two sons, Zachary and Ethan. We're very proud of each one of our family members.
