Research
PUC is a Liberal Arts College which places a high and primary focus
on undergraduate teaching. Still, a lot of us try to make some time for
research. Most of my research is conducted in collaboration with students,
in an attempt to combine my course-related interests with teaching students
how to do research. Most of these result in presentations at national or
regional psychology conventions (e.g. APA,
APS or WPA).
Psychology majors interested in getting involved with a research project
with me are invited to come talk with me about it. On this page I have
listed all of the research papers that I and/or my students have presented
since I came to PUC. Eventually I will establish links so that you can
read the abstracts of all of the papers.
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in the PEW Summer
Research Program in 1996. This grant allowed me to pursue research in the
area of biracial identity development. Click HERE
for a summary of that research, presented at the 77th Annual WPA Convention
in Seattle on April 24th, 1997.
