The purpose of the Ministerial Studies Program
is to qualify students for further professional
study at a seminary and for employment as intern
pastors of churches. Before one is eligible for
the Ministerial Studies Program and its additional
requirements, satisfactory performance of academic
and social skills must be demonstrated.
Before being admitted into the program, it is
necessary during the sophomore year for the theology
major to take the Self-Assessment Inventory test
administered by the department, and a battery of
standardized tests administered by the Counseling
Center and to apply for advancement to candidacy.
The Religion Department faculty review the student's
performance and qualifications for acceptance into
the program.
