Better Answers to Big Questions"He called the crowd with his disciples, and said
to them, "If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves
and take up their cross and follow me. For those who want to save
their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake, and
for the sake of the gospel, will save it. For what will it profit
them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life? Indeed, what
can they give in return for their life?"

No one gives a better answer to these three questions: Where do
we come from? Why are we here? Where are we going? According
to Jesus, we come from the hands of a loving Creator who made us in His
own image with powers akin to His own. We are here to play our part
in a great drama, helping to show to the whole universe the truth about
God, who has been so cruelly misrepresented by Satan. We are here
to help demonstrate the contrast between the selfish way and the unselfish.
And we are going to see the final triumph of God's cause in the earth.
Then, being part of the Creator's family, we shall share with Him in creative
activities throughout eternity. Ours is a privilege not even angels
have. Surely this gives meaning and purpose to life. |
