About Us
The Public Safety Department of Pacific Union College functions
as the safety & security department for the college. The Department
also is the dispatch center for the Angwin Community Ambulance company.
The office is open for normal business hours between 8am - 4pm,
Monday through Friday (including the lunch hour).
The Public Safety Department does function 24-hours a day, 7-days
per week with on-duty patrol officers and dispatchers. Should you
need assistance outside of normal business hours, please contact
the on-duty dispatcher to discuss the need.
Public Safety's main office number is: 707-965-6551
(x6551 on-campus)
The emergency phone number is: 707-965-7111
(x7111 on-campus)
If in the need of emergency assistance, you may either dial the
emergency number stated above, or dial 911. The college's phone
system is capable of routing your call whether you dial 9-1-1 directly
(without the preceding '9' for an outside line), or if you dial
9-911 (with the preceding '9'). Either dialing pattern will work
properly and connect your call to the Napa County 911 Emergency
Dispatcher in Napa. *NOTE: Dialing 911 from a cellular
phone will route your call to the San Francisco bay area, and not
Napa. So you'll want to be very clear with the cellular 911 operator
that you call is located in Napa County.
We are located at 180 College Avenue, just up from the Chevron
Station, across the street from Chan Shun Hall. Our front door faces
the street, up a stepped walkway. For anyone with a disability or
in need of direct access without stairs, feel free to drive up behind
the Department to the employee entrance and activate the rear door
buzzer.
