STAFF JOB OPENING

Security Officer/Sergeant

Public Safety

FULL TIME

Wage Rate:  $12.42- $15.28 (plus benefits, depending upon qualifications and experience)

Duties: Reporting to the Director of Public Safety, duties include: night shift campus and outlying College property patrol; respond to and investigate campus incidents; prepare written reports; maintain campus security after evening lockup; detect and report fire, safety, and maintenance problems/hazards; assist local, state and federal law enforcement; enforce campus parking regulations; investigate and document campus accidents; assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors as needed; participate in criminal court or campus judicial proceedings; respond to common inquiries or complaints from campus, regulatory agencies, or community; present appropriate/correct information to Public Safety management, College administration, faculty, staff and students; responsible in cooperation with director and assistant director for the supervision of student patrol officers, and address complaints and resolve problems as necessary.
