Why Choose PUC?

There are few schools that offer the combination of quality education and natural beauty found at PUC. In addition to an excellent academic environment, PUC provides an atmosphere that lends itself to a life style of high standards and high ethics. Students are encouraged to participate in various religious activities on campus and in the events sponsored by the department's Business Club, including worships, dinners, and camping trips to the mountains and coast. There are many opportunities for students to match their interests with their goals and to develop leadership skills in a Christian atmosphere.

PUC offers several business degrees and emphases in a geographic location that is world-famous for its scenic beauty—the Napa Valley. The pursuit of academic excellence is aided by a quiet, mountainous environment that affords opportunities to relax from the rigors of studies. Acres of college-owned forest adjacent to the student residences provide accessible options for getting out into the woods, relaxing, and hiking. While the aesthetic qualities of living in Northern California are unsurpassed, this natural, rural campus location is only 80 miles from the cosmopolitan, big-city atmosphere of downtown San Francisco.

Founded in 1882, Pacific Union College is a four-year, Christian, liberal arts college, fully accredited with the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), by the Accreditation Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools, Colleges, and Universities, and with the Education Department of the State of California. In addition to these accreditation recognitions, the Department of Business Administration and Economics and its programs are fully accredited with the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) accrediting organization.

Pacific Union College has consistently been ranked by the U.S. News & World Report college rankings in the top tier of comprehensive colleges in the western U.S. PUC also receives high rankings within California and for graduation rates, campus diversity, and international students. The natural beauty of rural Angwin, combined with excellent academic programs, provides students with exceptional opportunities for learning and for forming new friendships in a Christian college environment.
